Dear Parent/Carer,
Re: Procedures for starting Nursery class sessions
I trust you are all keeping safe and well. As you know, your child will be starting their Nursery class next week. Due to the current coronavirus situation, we have had to implement a few changes in school with regards to social distancing and general health and safety measures.
For children attending the morning session (8.30 — 11.30am) the gate for the Nursery on
Westminster Road will open up at 8.30am. You can then come into the Nursery playground with your child and line up with them. Only one adult will be allowed to drop off/collect their child. The adult must wear a face mask when they come onto the school property. The Nursery gate will close at 8.50am; you will not be allowed on site after this time. For children attending the afternoon session (12.30 —3.30pm) the gate for the Nursery will open up at 12.30pm. The gate will close at
12.50pm after which time you will not be allowed to enter the Nursery setting with your child. Therefore, please ensure you turn up to school at the correct time.
With regards to collection of your child at the end of their Nursery session, the gate will be opened at 11.15am for the morning session so parents can line up to collect their child for 11.30am. The gate will be opened at 3.15pm for the afternoon session.
If you have any other children in school and also have a child attending the afternoon Nursery session, please ensure you collect your Nursery child first.
No push chairs are allowed in the Nursery building and for those of you coming to school in a car, if you have any children under three, please make sure they are in a car seat. Any children accompanying parents onto the school site must be supervised at all times. Please note the Nursery playground is out of bounds to them. In addition, if your child attends Westminster Nursery, please try to encourage your child to walk into school as opposed to bringing them in a push chair.
I understand this is a lot of information to digest, but I sincerely hope we can work together to ensure the well-being of all individuals.
