Westminster Primary School is committed to ensuring that every child receives their full entitlement to education.
We would like to congratulate the many parents who make sure their children attend school regularly. Good attendance will mean that your child is able to achieve the best grades and have real opportunity in further education and the world of work.
Attendance is very closely linked to attainment. It has been proven that those who have very good attendance will have a much better chance of being a high achieving student. If a child is not in school, then they are missing vital lessons. Sadly these learning opportunities cannot be regained.
The table below outlines the number of lessons that are missed if a child is absent.

Even 90% attendance means 100 lost lessons. Frequent absence can add up to a considerable amount of lost learning and can seriously disadvantage your child in adult life.
Please ensure that your child attends and makes the most of their educational opportunities.
